Kitesurf Life LLC is an original USA business based in Huntington Beach, California, USA. We also collaborate with Kitesurf Life Brasil Ltda. (www.kitesurflife.com.br), a Brazilian original business based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. We specialize in teaching the sports of Kiteboarding and Wing Foil, sell related products, organize events, and arrange kitesurf trips.
– A kitesurfing lesson must be at least 2 hours (2 lessons = 2 hours).
– The lesson must be scheduled in advance, so that an instructor is available to the student.
– The scheduled lesson can only be canceled 24 hours in advance, or 1 hour of course class will be counted for every 2 hours of no show. The absent student will be charged one hour of tuition to pay for time wasted by their instructor.
– Kitesurfing depends on natural conditions under which the school has no control, such as: sea, waves, currents, tides, climate and microclimate, clouds, and wind.
– We work with forecasts to schedule classes that give us an idea of what the weather will be like in the day. There is no accuracy, if the wind lags, stops or is not strong enough, so the school may cancel the class before it starts, during or at any time, for the safety of the student.
– Kitesurf lessons in scheduled groups will be divided into classes and times pre-defined by the school.
– If natural conditions delay the departure of any class, other subsequent classes will also delay. If the delay is too long, the last class may have their lesson postponed due to security in order to avoid incidents at the end of the day when we will no longer have enough time to deal with any difficulties before dark.
– If the class is interrupted, the effective time of the class given will be computed, with credit for the remaining time. If it is necessary to help a kite surfer in danger, the class time will be paused and at the end of the rescue, if possible, the class will be resumed.
– The class can be stopped at any time the instructor deems necessary, in order not to jeopardize the safety of the student, instructor, other users of the beach and sea, and material integrity.
– The class stopped due to unsafe weather for the practice of the sport or lack of wind or unfavorable weather conditions, will be computed in the student’s file with the effective time given for the class.
– The 6-hour course aims to achieve the goal of “testing the board”. Put on the foot and make the movement of “Steady Pull” (Constant Pull) or “Water Start (Standing on the board). If the student performs the previous steps with good performance.
